PATIENT INFORMATION: COVID- 19 VACCINATIONS
The NHS is currently in the process of delivering COVID-19 vaccinations nationwide. The vaccine delivery program has now begun in Putney and Wandsworth.
For information concerning NHS England's COVID-19 vaccination program, please consult the NHS Website.
In accordance with government guidelines, we are contacting patients in order of priority. A member of our team will contact you by phone or by text.
We would like to politely request that you do not contact the surgery regarding the COVID-19 vaccine until you are called. We thank you for your understanding at this busy time.
If you have been contacted by a member of our team and have booked a COVID-19 vaccination, please check our Patient Information Leaflet prior to attending.
Please be aware that we are contacting patients for vaccination by text message only. We will not be inviting patients by email.
In order to be invited, we will need a mobile number to be associated with your record. If you believe your mobile number is out of date, please get in touch with us using our admin form.
WHEN WILL I BE INVITED FOR VACCINATION?
The government has published a set of guidelines specifying when the public can expect to receive their vaccine. The guidelines dictate that patients will be called in order of age and vulnerability. The groups for vaccination are as below:
residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
all those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
all those 75 years of age and over
all those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
all those 65 years of age and over
all individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
all those 60 years of age and over
all those 55 years of age and over
all those 50 years of age and over
For more information, please consult the JCVI guidelines.
The surgery is working to the government timeline of inviting all adults over 50 for vaccination by the end of April. We are awaiting guidance on when we will be inviting patients in Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout who are below the age of 50.
